Amanda
With over 20 years of experience, Amanda is a seasoned yoga instructor and teacher trainer, known for her breath centered, seasonally informed style. After studying with Bay Area legend Kent Bond, she learned to expertly blend the art and science of yoga. Informed by Hata, vinyasa, and Yoga Tune Up® practices, Amanda creates mindful, yet challenging sequences that promote self awareness and balance. Her approach aligns movement and breath with the natural cycles of the Earth, offering grounding, energizing, or cooling practices attuned to the Ayurvedic principles. This style of teaching invites students of all levels to explore the transformative connection between breath, body and being, deepening their practice both on and off the mat.

Angela
Angela was born in Brazil and has called California home since 2003. Her passion for mindful movement and holistic living has flourished in this beautiful state, where she enjoys its natural beauty, vibrant community, and commitment to wellness. Angela discovered yoga at Mind Body Zone and completed her Yoga Teacher Training in 2010. Since then, she has pursued advanced studies with Judith Hanson Lasater in Restorative Yoga, and completed extensive Prenatal Yoga training with Jane Austin, as well as training in meditation and mindfulness practices. Angela brings a nurturing, grounded presence to her classes, offering support for all stages of life. She feels honored to be part of the Mind Body Zone community and looks forward to sharing the transformative practice of yoga with you.

Mary Jane
Mary Jane began her yoga journey later in life. Being a mother of two, wife, and pediatric transplant nurse had kept her preoccupied for the better part of a decade, and well into her 30’s. It wasn’t until her late 30’s that she discovered her passion for yoga.
After trying her first class, she discovered her love for yoga and instantly became addicted to its practice. Originally rooted in Bikram, she learned to appreciate all styles, eventually favoring Vinyasa Flow and Hot Power Fusion Yoga for their physical and mental demands, in addition to their detoxifying properties.
Ultimately, her passion for yoga lead her to complete a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program in June 2014 from Mind Body Zone, under the direction and mentoring of Lynn Cheng, deepening her knowledge of yoga history, philosophy, and practice. It is now her passion to share the benefits, joys, and gifts of yoga to others who may be searching for their own passion as well.

Linea
Linea has always had a passion for health and fitness; she began her journey into Yoga and Pilates after a skiing accident left her with very little use of her leg. Surgery and physical therapy left her feeling hopeless about her recovery; until she began taking Yoga and Pilates classes. After many months and countless classes she regained full use of her leg and also found that her arthritic pain was no longer an issue. She began taking workshops and even more classes realizing that this was the path for her. She completed a certification through Yoga Fit and two different 200 hour yoga teacher training programs. She knows the importance of proper alignment and the difference it can make in one’s overall health. She creates classes that are motivating using breath and mindful movement. She encourages her students to challenge themselves and move through self-imposed limitations; creating a life of balance and without pain.

Rina
Rina’s yoga journey began unexpectedly in 2011 when she tagged along with a friend to a class for moral support. At the time, she had no plans to stick with it—let alone become a teacher. But one class led to another, and over the years, her curiosity deepened into passion. Today, Rina is a YTT 500 certified instructor with a strong foundation in Hatha yoga and a wealth of experience in various styles. In her stretch class, Rina blends the grounding principles of Hatha asanas with the fluidity of Vinyasa sequencing. Her focus is on helping students improve flexibility, build confidence, and feel empowered to explore more advanced practices. She thoughtfully incorporates props to support alignment and make every pose accessible to all levels. When she’s not on the mat, you’ll likely find Rina playing tennis, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or relaxing at home with her cat.

Jordan
Jordan first ventured into the world of Yoga in his twenties when he was attracted to learning yoga mediation at a local meditation center. Through systematic classes there, he learned Yoga mediation methods, pranayama, and the Hatha poses needed for a mediation practice. As life needs intervened, and Yoga instruction at that time remained relatively hard to find, Jordan turned to a study Yang style Tai Chi Chuan and Chinese Qigong and Neigong (breath work and inner energy work) — a practice that he has maintained for decades. In recent years Jordan returned to Hatha Yoga seeking not only the benefits of internal cultivation, but the development of a rigorous practice to increase strength, cardio-fitness, flexibility, as well as balance. In 2024, Jordan completed his 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Mind Body Zone. As an experienced educator in other fields, Jordan enjoys drawing upon his knowledge and experiences to assist
students in their Yoga journeys.
